Richard Thomson, Advisory Managing Director
Richard is one of the UK’s leading property experts. With a career spanning over 35 years, he is exceptionally well connected in the Prime real estate market and highly respected within the industry. For several years Richard worked within the Prime real estate sector in Portugal, sourcing buyers for the Algarve’s most exclusive properties. On returning home, he established his own property business and went on to create one of the most successful independent agencies in the UK, rated within the top 1% by Property Academy, in partnership with Rightmove.
Founding Devlin McGregor with Joe Rai, Richard advises local and international HNW and UHNW clients, directing them to best in class Prime and Super Prime residential properties and investment opportunities across the UK. Richard believes firmly in a highly personal service and one-to-one engagement with clients, offering a completely private process, where multi-million pound transactions take place off-market.

Joe Rai, Advisory Managing Director
Prior to establishing Devlin McGregor with Richard Thomson, focusing on property requirements for HNW and UHNW clients, Joe had already established himself as a prominent UK businessman. He was a highly successful Commercial Director within his family steel business, handling multi-million pound contracts with FTSE 100 listed companies. Joe developed the business to secure its position as the largest independent organisation in its sector within the UK, reaching No. 42 in the Sunday Times fast-track 100, in 2009.
Joe then sold the company to focus on his passion for deal-making within the mergers and acquisitions sector, working closely with private equity firms and clients such as Liberty Group, Hill & Smith Holdings PLC, Unistrut (Atkore) and Tyco.
With Devlin McGregor, Joe has transferred his business talents and acumen to the Prime and Super Prime residential property market. With expertise in strategic planning, transaction management and financial structuring, coupled with market knowledge in the corporate sector, Joe has created an extensive network of affinity partnerships with private banking, UHNW wealth managers, UHNW family offices and family lawyers, all of whom expect the highest level of service.
